Book Seminars International

bookseminars

New this year will be seminars held in Archer City, TX on August 23 and 24. Archer City is Larry McMurtry’s book town twenty minuets south of Wichita Falls. The equivalent of five large bookstores in one small Texas town, Archer City offers over a million books for sale. Tuition for this event will be slightly higher to cover the costs of including lunches for the courses and hosting a BBQ social for all weekend attendees on Saturday night.

Book Collecting for Fun & Profit is designed to teach collectors, sellers, scouts and librarians the principles of collecting books, as well as first edition identification, accurate condition description, correct flaw terminology, valuations, research tools and book nomenclature.

The Strategic Bookselling Workshop is about making your book business more PROFITABLE. The program explores how to market and brand your operation, building a customer base, the 12 steps of pricing, stock acquisition and responding to constant shifts in the billion dollar used book industry. This course is for those interested in starting a book business and those who have been selling for a while. This valuable information, presented nowhere else in the used book world, is applicable to full and part-time dealers using the internet or store fronts.
