Ten Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Years with Pogo by Walt Kelly

PRICE

25.00

New York, Simon & Schuster, 1959, sta ted first printing. Very good, missing d.j., hardcover, Collectible. Clean, tight 4to, 288pp. There is a scuff and bump to the front top tip and a light scuff to the other three tips, bump to the spine bottom, light soiling to the spine cover. The book has a 1" split at the top of the front hinge, otherwise no flaws.

A delightful compendium of some of Walt Kelly's wry, sardonic humor ( "We have met the enemy and he is us" or "If you can't win, don't join 'em;' learn how to lose"), nonsense verses, and comic strips featuring his famous swamp hero - Pogo, the funny little critter who was always getting into some sort of trouble with his friends Owl, Albert, Porkypine, and many others.
