Beacon was the publisher of adult novels and published many stories from the top fiction writers of the day; Poul Anderson, Philip Jose Farmer, Brian Aldiss, Charles Willeford, Cyril M. Kornbluth & Judith Merril, Sam Merwin, Jr. and many more authors including A.E. Van Vogt.
